Limited Edition Two-tone Green Christmas Ornament

This is one in an edition of 100 ornaments that are signed and numbered by me. They were cast in three colors of slip with roughly 1/3 being green, 1/3 red, and 1/3 light blue. Once cast, they were inlaid with an additional color to bring out the design. You'll receive a random number green ornament out of the batch

These ornaments are part of my journey in learning mold making and slip casting. I was practicing with large scale (for me at least) production with this project. After making the original object, I made a plaster mold and then a silicone mold in order to make more plaster molds. It might sound confusing, but it's really just a way to be able to make a lot of ornaments in a short amount of time, but it's a tricky skill to learn.

I also just love Christmas time and decorating a Christmas tree holds a special place in my heart.
