Wall domes are my way of using the skills I built up over many years making pottery to make things that are not pots. I use the same clay and tools and process and end up with objects that function in a whole new way. The designs on these domes also lend themselves to radial symmetry which has always been fascinating to me.
This piece was thrown on the pottery wheel, trimmed round, then carved and glazed.
